Summarises the calculation method of nocturnal ventilation and finds the solution of the calulation of major parameters, such as airflow volume, ventilating period, indoor temperature etc.By testing for a room in Shanghai, proves the reliability of the calcalation method. Finally,analyses the problem if nocturnal ventilation saves energy through a calculating else, the authors give the conclusion that nocturnal ventilating saves the energy for mechanical cooling under limitary conditions,not for the areas with small daily temperatUre range as Shanghai.
