Abstract: | The paper presents some findings of the investigation of finish turning of KhVG hardened steel using a cutting tool tipped with a round insert made of a composite based on cubic boron nitride (cBN-Si3N4 system). Based on the analysis of machined surface roughness, the cutting conditions have been found which ensure a stable interaction between the cutting tool and the workpiece. |
