| Abstract: | Available methods for grain refinement of cast ingots of commercial wrought aluminium alloys have been reviewed, as well as mechanisms of grain refinement and present industrial practice. The optimum grain refinement strategy for commercial wrought aluminium alloys has been summarized. The future trends of grain refinement have been expected. |
