Robust LDPC decoding using irregular decoders

It has been observed that irregular decoders for lowdensity parity-check (LDPC) codes can be more robust to channel estimation errors compared to conventional decoders. In this work, by presenting a robustness measure, we propose a method for the joint optimization of irregular LDPC code-decoder pairs to have the widest convergence region when channel estimation errors exist.
