Abstract: | Examined the entire Memoirs of D. P. Schreber, a landmark case in the development of psychoanalytic theories of paranoia, for the contextual correlates among 5 key words: sun, God, Flechsig, male, and female. A computer-based system, WORDS, was used to process the data, with virtually identical contextual correlates of the terms male and female the major finding. This finding and others are compared with a 1960 study by J. Laffal and the interpretations provided by Freud and I. Macalpine and R. A. Hunter.
