城市规划的“留白”之道

梳理了"留白"的艺术与思想源头,尝试解析了留白的本义及其思想内涵,认为"留白"作为一种朴素的规律和行事之道对城市规划具有一定的指导意义。同时回顾了我国城市规划至今的种种问题和面临的挑战,认为城市规划的多解性和城市的复杂性问题正需要"留白"的思想加以补充。城市规划语境下的"留白"思维内核主要体现在计利长远、格局为先、有机生长和少就是多。虽然留白的"白"具有多义性,但是当前城市规划语境下留白的内容主要在生态留白、市场机制留白、社会参与留白以及文化空间留白上,并分别对这几个方面的留白做了明确的界定和具体的策略梳理,进而尝试将上述"留白"内容纳入城市空间体系和规划体系。

THE WAY OF "LEAVING BLANK" IN URBAN PLANNING

This paper summarizes the origin of "Leaving Blank" in art and philosophy and manages to explore its meaning and ideological connotations,arguing that "Leaving Blank," as a simple law and way to handle matters,is instructive for urban planning.Reviewing the problems and challenges of urban planning practices in China nowadays,the paper finds that the way of "Leaving Blank" ought to be employed as a significant guidance to improve urban planning.In the field of urban planning,the thinking of "Leaving Blank" could be summarized into great vision,pattern first,organic growth,as well as the idea that less is more.Despite the various explanations for "blank," "Leaving Blank" in urban planning mainly includes such aspects as ecosystem,flexible mechanism,public participation,and spatial identity,which are clearly defined in the paper.In addition,it further summarizes specific contents and implementation strategies for leaving blanks in the above mentioned aspects and draws a roadmap to integrating the objectives of "Leaving Blank" into urban spatial system as well as urban planning system.
