A simplified integral equation method for the calculation of the eigenvalues of Helmholtz equation

An integral equation method is presented for the numerical calculation of the eigenvalues of the scalar Helmholtz equation. By using a particular solution instead of Green's function, the calculations could be simplified due to the elimination of complex numbers.
