Materials Stressing at Oscillating Sliding Movement At oscillating sliding movements in a tribological system (e.g. pistonring - cylinder) the filmthickness changes in a wide range during a stroke. Especially in the range of the deadcenters a hydrodynamic lubricant film cannot always be formed. The mixed lubrication than leads to an increasing material stressing in these regions. the change in sliding direction causes a repeated change in the direction of the materials stressing. The materials stressing is calculated for different load functions.
