醛基化聚苯乙烯树脂微球的制备及其表征

摘    要:以大粒径聚苯乙烯树脂微球(PS)为原料,采用傅克反应以三溴化铝为催化剂、对氯苯甲醛为醛基化试剂在树脂表面接枝醛基官能团,并对其进行性能表征。结果表明,优化的反应条件为:对氯苯甲醛初始浓度350 mmol/L,溴化铝催化剂浓度50 mmol/L,反应温度40℃,反应时间5 h,在此条件下制备的树脂表面醛基质量摩尔浓度为1.5 mmol/g。通过红外(FTIR)、X射线光电子能谱分析(XPS)及热重(TG)对改性后的醛基化聚苯乙烯树脂微球(PS-CHO)进行特征分析,表明醛基化改性成功。

Abstract:Taking large particle size polystyrene resin as raw material,Friedel-Crafts reaction with aluminum tribromide as catalyst and p-chlorobenzaldehyde as aldehyde grouping reagent,aldehyde functional groups were grafted on the surface of the resin,and its performance was characterized.The results show that the optimized reaction conditions are as follow:the initial concentration of p-chlorobenzaldehyde 350 mmol/L,the concentration of aluminum bromide catalyst 50 mmol/L,the reaction temperature of 40℃,and the reaction time of 5 h.The density of aldehyde groups on the surface of the resin prepared under these conditions is 1.5 mmol/g.The modified aldehyde-based polystyrene resin microspheres(PS-CHO)were characterized by Fourier infrared transform spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and thermogravimertry analysis(TG).The results indicate that the aldehyde modification is successful.
