Abstract:The future development trend of hydro-driven ship lift(HDSL)is“super lifting height, super lifting weight”,which has higher requirements on control valve. The comprehensive analysis of the hydraulic characteristics of typical industrial valves shows that the fixed cone valve is more suitable for the development of HDSL.In order to fully grasp the hydraulic characteristics of this type of valve,a systematic and comprehensive hydraulic characteristics study on the DN 150 cone valve is carried out through physical model test. The results show that the discharge capacity of cone valve is larger, the flow pattern after valve is simpler, and the pressure distribution on pipe wall is stable, but the anti-cavitation performance is slightly poor.To ensure the safety of valve and pipeline, reliable anti-cavitation technology is required for the application of cone valve.
Keywords:fixed cone valve  physical model test  flow coefficient  cavitation number  flow field structure
