INVESTMENT STRATEGY OF PRIVATE EQUITY FUND IN MINING SECTOR

Private equity fund specialized in mining sector is equity investment instituions which profession ally invest in mineral resources exploration, deveopment and operation enterprises. This paper analyzes the period and risks in mining projects, summarizes the factors and progress of exploration project values, and presents strategies of private equity fund in mining sector that PE must be based on mining’s stage period and risks and on its professional advantages and capital, establish a proper investment portfolio according to its own risk preference, then it can obtain benefits from junior or senior exploration companies at specific stages while values are rising. This paper also discusses the investment staged strategies of private equity fund in mining sector.
