Influence factors on delay in unsignalized intersection

Research on delay for unsignalized intersection can improve the level of traffic regulations and management of intersections effectively. This article will present the process of how delay happen in an unsignalized intersection and give the investigation plan. It combined with survey results in Harbin to study the relationship among traffic flow, traffic conflict, flow distribution, flow structure and the proportion of vehicles. Then, the factors on the delays can be found through the scatter change of investigation data. This research can provide the planners with a more efficient analysis on the delay and give a theoretical foundation of calculating it for unsignalized intersection.
