| Abstract: | It is established that the electric field strength of an electrically short (l/λ ? 10?3) transmitting antenna exhibits an increase by a factor of more than 102 when it is placed into a vacuum tube featuring a continuous dc discharge. The influence of an external magnetic field on this phenomenon is studied as well. |
