| Abstract: | Petro-Sonde (PS) is a new technique in electrical surveys, which came into being in the 1980s and holds promise of success in direct detection for oil / gas traps under favourable conditions. In this paper, evaluations will be made regarding the effectiveness of the method based on a practical data set collected in Nan-Yan / Mi-Yang depression by using the PS method. It is concluded that the PS method is helpful in oil / gas surveys except for some limitations. |
