Emotional Expression of Book Design

The paper aims to explore book design strategies from the perspective of emotion. Based on the diverse historical background, and combined with the rising spirit demand and aesthetic demand of the Public, emotional book design was introduced. The concept and main characteristics of emotional book design were analyzed in-depth. Then based on various design attempts, it is discussed from layout, color, material, function, etc. The design paths of tradition and contemporary, fashionable change, fun and function-orientation were illustrated. Some typical design examples were listed. The future development direction and design trend were summarized and higher requirements on related designers were put forward. Book design is a systematic project. With emotional expressiveness and artistic tension, it can achieve more individualized, richer and more diversified forms and functions, and thus have more distinctive characteristics, deeper interaction and more profound emotion to add artistic charm of books, meet the presentgeneral needs of improving aesthetic and spiritual pursuit.
