Abstract:With the development of calculation methods and casting technology, numerical simulation technology has been widely used in casting field. As an important hot-end component of the engine, turbine is developing towards precision, lightweight and thin-walled in terms of structure with the upgrading of the engine. Numerical simulation technology also becomes an important means for foundry workers to control turbine quality. At present, relevant scholars use casting simulation software to analyze the filling process of turbine precision forming and macroscopic physical field results, and improve the casting process based on the simulation results, thereby improving the quality of turbines. In this paper, the application status of numerical simulation technology in the research of precision forming of casting turbine was reviewed. To improve the simulation efficiency, the precautions in geometric modeling, meshing and other pre-processing processes were introduced in detail, and the effects of the simulation results of turbine casting filling process, temperature field and stress field on defect prediction and process optimization were also analyzed. The development direction of the microstructure simulation of the cast turbine and the problems that needs to be solved in the further development of the numerical simulation of turbine castings were pointed out.
