| Abstract: | Summary An analytical solution is given for the axisymmetric indentation problem of a half-space loaded by internal forces. Closed form results are presented for an interior point force and a flat-ended indenter. The interaction between internal and external loadings is discussed using numerical results and graphs.With 2 Figures |
