On the Shape Semantics in Lamp Design

Shape Samantics is one kind of methodology to understand and create the shapes with the cognitive view of the language symbol. With the progress of modem illumination technology and the development of society, the modem lamps pay more attention to the demands of the appearance, comfortable, humanity and emotion, etc. The lamps becomes a product which can express the feelings and moods. This article has discussed the concrete application of shape semantics in the lamp design, and has analyzed in detail the examples of the students' works of the theme in "movement consciousness" and "life consciousness".
