Abstract:This essay has a discussion on the source of K + in refined magnesium which is the reducing agent on producing Titanium sponge by magnesium process and the mechamism of its presence. The essay has summarized about the effect of the K+ content on Titanium sponge quality and the effective measures to reduce the K+ content in refined magnesium.
