Channelizing Reconstruction of At-Grade Intersections

Based on reconstruction example of Fushan Longjiang Town 325 national highway for which at-grade channelizing design is used for the intersections, described hereby are the applicability of channelized intersection, the features of channelized intersection such as the great carrying ability, less cost etc which would raise greatly the safety of vehicles and pedestrians, as well as the key points for the design of channelizing reconstruction of at-grade intersection. A satisfactory design could only be gained by the choice of an appropriate channelizing mode according to the road characteristics, traffic volume and flowing etc.
