| Abstract: | This article discusses the development of maintenance management connected to the research at the Department of Economics and Business Management (WBW), Montanuniversität Leoben. Beginning with functionally oriented approaches of maintenance management systems, the article shows the evolution to sophisticated management systems for an integrated plant asset management as well as further research needs in this area. |
