| Abstract: | Earlier review papers by Hunt I] and McLaren 2] have dealt with the basic principles of colour measurement and its application to the measurement of colour difference, respectively. This paper is mainly an attempt to assess the present situation on instrumental recipe prediction, but it also includes topics such as whiteness and fluorescence, metamerism, blends of coloured fibres, and the production of colour-separation transparencies in printing. Colour differences are used at various stages of the recipe prediction procedure. |
