Abstract:In order to investigate the frequency effect on giga-cycle fatigue properties in giga-cycle region,ultrasonic(20 kHz) and cyclic axial(82 Hz) loading tests were carried out for GCr15 and 35CrMo steel using plain specimens.Fracture observation shows that axial loading GCr15 samples and ultrasonic samples,in all the stress amplitude range have both surface damage and internal damage caused by inclusion,and both 35CrMo axial loading samples and ultrasonic samples have surface crack damage.The stress intensity ...
