| Abstract: | By stereospecific adduct formation between mercuric acetate and unsaturated fatty acids, derivatives are obtained suitable for NMR determination ofcis-trans ratio. The preparation and optimal experimental conditions are determined. Experimental data are found to be within a few per cent of the true values. |
