A mathematical model of laminar axisymmetrical natural gas flames

Abstract:A computational procedure for determining the velocities, temperatures and species concentrations in a laminar Bunsen type flame is presented. The boundary layer form of the Navier-Stokes equations with coupled chemistry are solved for a compressible, viscous and axisymmetric flow. An implicit finite difference method is used in the solutions. Velocities, temperatures and stable species concentrations are compared with experimental data.
