Abstract:The effect of cold deformation on microstructure and mechanical properties is investigated in quenched and low-temperature-tempered 2 0 MnV and20 MnVB steel In the result, with strain rate increaseing the low carbon and low alloy steel has an increase in strength and a decrease in ductility,while the cycle number of fatigue fracture is also remarkably ralsed. Strengthening of steel is related to dislocation increment in lath martensite and the decrease of dislocation movability,which also increases the cycle number for fatigue fracture.
