| Abstract: | Through the investigation into conventional pumps applied in sand production and heavy oil reservoirs, the causes of conventional pump failure are found out. Two kinds of special oil well pumps for these two types of reservoirs are developed. Their structures and features are described in detail, and their technical advantages are proved by oilfield application. |
