Optical properties of silver nanoparticles in R-phycoerythrin nanochannels in aqueous solutions and films

Abstract:The optical properties of Ag0 nanoparticles in R-phycoerythrin nanochannels have been studied in liquid and solid phases by confocal fluorescence microscopy, absorption spectroscopy, and fluorescence spectroscopy. The optical properties of the Ag0 nanoparticles are shown to depend on their phase state at the levels of an individual nanoparticle and many nanoparticles. UV irradiation has different effects on Ag0 nanoparticles in deionized water and in thin films on glass.
