Exploration and Reform on Practical Education of a Demonstrative Software Engineering School

The software engineering school of the BUPT is built to create and to demonstrate new teaching methodologies for undergraduates and graduates. Its goal is to cultivate high-level software talents with engineering ability,practical skill and cross-discipline knowledge. The practical education is a very important part of our education programs. This paper introduces our exploration and reform in the teaching methodologies and the contents of the practical education. Our exploration and reform, especially our cross-discipline,design-oriented and innovativepractical education methodology,adapt to different phases and different levels of undergraduate studies. Our exploration and reform obtain successful results.
