| 摘 要： | 本文讨论了改进哈夫曼码的算法及其编译码技术。应用该项技术把60路报纸传真信号压缩为64 kb/s 单话路数据,压缩比大于5,编码效率优于0.84。通过卫星信道的传输实验得到令人满意的结果。

| Abstract: | This paper presents an algorithm for a modified Huffman coding-decoding tech- nique with application in which a 60-channel newspaper signal is compressed into a 64 kb/s data stream.A compression ratio higher than 5 and the code efficiency better than 0.84 are achieved.The transmission experiments via satellite show that its quality is well satisfactory. |
