| 摘 要： | 基于目标的图像压缩技术（OBC）,在兼顾失真率的前提下能够得到更高的压缩比,是一种全新的压缩技术.OBC的算法包括对源图像中各个区域的分割,以及对这些区域的内容和边界的高效编码.本文将简要介绍OBC的基本理论,着重讲述区域的分割和表示技术,并深入讨论对这个算法实际效果的度量标准.

| Abstract: | A heated new compression technology,called object-based compression(OBC) promises improved rate-distortion performance at higher compression ratios.The arithmetic of OBC employs segmentation of image regions as well as efficient encoding of each region's content and boundary.This paper overviews the basic theory of OBC,especially the region segmentation and representation.A discussion is made to talk about the performance metrics. |
