Rate of the Reaction NO+N,and Some Heterogeneous Reactions Observed in the Ion Source of a Mass Spectrometer

The rate of the reaction NO + N→ N₂+O has been measured to be 1.0±0.5×10¹³ cm³ moles⁻¹ sec⁻¹ at room temperature. The heterogeneous reactions N+O→NO and O + O→O₂ were observed to occur in the ion source of the mass spectrometer.
