| 摘 要： | 南通古城特色鲜明,丁字形主街形成古城的陆路交通框架,完整的水路交通可以船载以入南通古城各处。公共建筑以其复杂的前导空间,显示着儒家礼制对南通深厚的影响,同时也显示着南通中庸和内敛的文化特征。

| Abstract: | Ancient Nantong City was distinctive in characters with T-shaped main streets as its land communication framework and complete waterway leading to every place in the city.The public buildings with complex leading space indicated the profound influences of Confucian morality on Nantong as well as the city's cultural characteristics of golden mean and introversion. |
