Error analysis of block-pulse series solutions

Abstract:This paper examines the integral operational matrix used in block-pulse series analysis from the geometric point of view. It is found that using the integral operational matrix to obtain the block-pulse series coefficients of the integral of a function will cause errors that can be estimated from numerical analysis. Based on these errors, the deviation is estimated of the block-pulse series solution of a linear time invariant system from its exact solution.
