试论明代总河的产生

明代是黄河多患时期，276年内无有间断。治理河患，直接关系到国计民生与社会的稳定，因而历来备受当政者的重视。明代的总理河道一职，就是为了适应当时形势的发展而建置的。它标志着我国治河史进入了一个新的历史阶段，为治河机制的完备作出了贡献。
