操作系统研制中虚拟硬件的实现

摘    要:并行分布式操作系统的研制是一项巨大的系统工程,具有投资大、周期长、复杂性高等特点,虚拟硬件技术是解决这一难题非常有效的方法.在Linux操作系统上实现了一个虚拟硬件环境,它仿真了一个分布式共享内存多处理器系统,非常逼近真正的硬件平台,其有中断、时间分片、内存管理、多处理器支持等特性.简化了操作系统的逻辑设计及其调试过程,加快了操作系统的研制进度,并且大量削减了研制费用.

Abstract:The development of a parallel distributed operating system is a giant systemic project and is characterized with large investment, long cycle and high complexity. Virtual hardware technique is an effective method for solving the difficulty. We have realized a virtual hardware environment on top of the Linux. It simulated a distributed share memory multiprocessor system and closely approximated a real hardware, including interrupts, time slicing, memory management, multiprocessor. Virtual hardware technique simplifies the procedure of logical designing and debugging of operating system and accelerates the rate of progress considerably. Meanwhile, it can reduce the cost enormously. This paper explores the virtual hardware technique and discusses several key issues of implementation in detail.
