摘    要:提出了一种基于快速转换开关的新型液态金属限流器(LMCL)的拓扑结构,在充分利用LMCL快速起弧限流特性的同时,有效提高了限流器的额定通流能力,降低了LMCL额定通流要求。给出了限流器的工作原理及快速转换开关的动作特性。完成了不同短路预期电流下限流装置的限流试验。试验结果证明,提出的新型限流器能够快速、有效限制短路电流,具有良好的应用前景,并为液态金属限流技术的应用提供了一种新的思路。

Abstract:A topology scheme of novel liquid metal current limiter(LMCL) based on fast transfer switch was proposed. By connecting the LMCL with fast transfer switch in parallel, the rating current of current limiter was im- proved and the requirement of LMCL rating current was reduced while the fast arc initiation current limiting charac-teristics of LMCL was fully utilized. The working principle of this current limiter and the operating characteristics of fast transfer switch were presented. The current limiter was tested under different prospective currents. The testing result shows that the device can limit the fault current effectively. It has a nice application prospect and provides anew idea of the liquid metal current limiter application.
