With Authorware-a multimedia design tool powerful and widely used, as the integrated multimedia design platform, together with typical software for graphic design, 2-D animation design, 3-D animation design and audio and video processing, this paper describes overall design architecture and interactive design methods constructing multimedia applications, proposes file formats and importing modes recommended for multimedia materials including text, graphics, animation, audio and video, and introduces methods publishing multimedia courseware and product demonstration programs.
