Abstract:A method for speed measurement by tachometer generator in digital pulse is proposed.Sine wave is transformed to digital pulse by voltage comparator.The digital pulse is counted by the function of rapid counting pulse of PLC.Data is calculated and analyzed by programming software.The design have not only simple constructions,but also low building cost.Experimental results demonstrate that the rate accuracy is always controlled below 0.1% and detection time is also controlled below 500 ms when engine speed is changed from 10 r/min to 3 000 r/min.The proposed method can measure the speed of Aeroengine accurately in real time.The method has the merits of high accuracy,resolution and real-time etc when the speed is over a wide range.
