Abstract:Calculating the anisotropy azimuth of the stratum transversal wave is basesd on the same excited transverse vibration amplitude in the X and Y directions and the same response time the transmitting and receiving probes using the cross dipole acoustic logging.The impact on the measurement of the azimuth in the frequency domain when they are inconsistent is given.The more difference of the transversal wave amplitudes in the two directions,the more scattered of the distribution of the azimuth calculated in the different time.But when the amplitude difference is not bigger than 10%,in certain frequency bands,the asymptote between the azimuth and frequency asymptote is true azimuth.While response time difference affects the value of the azimuth,but has little effect on its distribution.An adjusted method in the frequency domain is proposed.A group of waves are measured in the pure or not cemented casing wells,and the Fourier transformation is carried on to these four rows profiles,the frequency range profiles are obtained,the amplitude ratio and the time difference of the waves are got by the inverse calculation of the X and Y directions basing on the four waves in the frequency domain,then the azimuth of the measured section is adjusted by using the amplitude ratio and the time difference to get the accurate azimuth.
