Abstract: | The mechanism of cerium ions scavenging superoxide radical(O(x)) has been studied. The results show that (1) Ce3+ can reduce O(x) to H2O2 while it is oxidized to Ce4+; (2) Ce4+ can oxidize O(x)to O2 while it is reduced to Ce3+. |
