| Abstract: | The marine spongeXestospongia halichondroides contains 13% 28∶3Δ5,9,19, 27% 26∶2Δ5,9, and 21% 26∶1Δ17 in its total fatty acids. Thecis-5,cis-9,cis-19-octacosatrienoic acid structure is unknown in other living organisms. |
