Design of piezoelectric actuators for measurement technology instruments

Engineering methods are presented for calculating mechanical stresses and deformations in homogeneous piezoceramic plates having a nonuniform polarization across their thickness. A detailed examination is made of the design of a piezoceramic modulator for a pyroelectric temperature transducer. The results of numerical calculations are compared with experimental data.
