Abstract: | An analysis of the weighted concentration curve shows that the proper weighting for disperse populations of particle sizes varies according to the method of analysis used in data regression. A general form for the weighting factor is derived for the integral method. Several forms of the weighting factor for diffusion with a surface resistance are shown and the effect of particle size variations is demonstrated for a sample of Sepharose 6B (Pharmacia). |
