Abstract: | A novel approach to average the random offsets in flash and folding A/D converters is introduced. The proposed method uses second-order active resistive networks and, compared to previously reported methods employing passive resistive grids, a better offset reduction is achieved without sacrificing the signal gain. Both behavioural and transistor-level simulation results confirm the performance of the proposed technique. |
