Abstract:As a new type of structure, corrugated structure has better mechanical properties and durability than reinforced concrete structure, and its construction period is shorter. It has important theoretical significance and engineering value to apply corrugated plate in tunnel support field. In this paper, the bearing capacity of the corrugated structure composed of beam and shell elements was calculated by finite element numerical simulation. The results show that the stress and displacement of beam and shell elements show little difference in this simulation. Under the predominately vertical load, the stress and settlement of the tunnel vault are the largest, while the stress and expansion of the tunnel side wall position are the largest under the predominately horizontal load. The whole structure simulated by shell elements and beam elements is almost under pressure. And the structural wave crest mainly bears the external surrounding rock load, while the trough mainly bears the force caused by structural deformation and extrusion. Under the concentrated load, the structure's stress and displacement are small when load acts on the vault, the structural displacement is larger when it acts on the arch waist, and the structural stress is larger when it acts on the arch foot. The application of the corrugated support structure can provide more choices for tunnel support, and has good prospects in the field of engineering.
