Research on cylinder valve technical features and its application

The new techniques of water turbine cylinder valve in hydroelectric station,including its working principle?applying conditions and its functional characteristics,are discussed in this paper.Domestic and abroad application of cylinder valve to hydroelectric station is briefly analyzed.The distinguish between cylinder valve and traditional main valves(rotary valve and butterfly valve)are systematically studied.The conclusion is that the former is superior to the latter,so cylinder valve is with much value for application and dissemination.
