Abstract: | The fatty acid composition of the phospholipids of sarcoplasmic reticulum preparations from rabbit psoas (white) and soleus
(red) muscles was determined. The sarcoplasmic reticulum from psoas muscle was lower in stearic and oleic acids and higher
in palmitic and linoleic acids than that from soleus muscle, and contained a greater proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids.
However most of the differences in fatty acids were small. |
