This paper provides several domestic and foreign examples concerning about the potential value of associated resources of placer gold deposits. These examples illustrated the economic benefit of the recovery of magnetite, garnet, rutile, gregorite, zircon and building sand that were mined in the placer gold mine. It is important for the use of associated resources of placer gold deposit during the stage of the geological reconnaissance survey and exploration, for the purpose to provide the necessary data for quantitative analysis, While in stage of mining design, the comprehensive utilization for associated resources must be studied further to enlarge the utilization range during the stage of mining operation.
