Application of Vertical Stirred Mill in Foam Scrubbing of Molybdenum Cleaning

Basic structure, working mechanism of vertical stirred mill(VSM) and its application for foam scrubbing in the cleaning process of molybdenum flotation were introduced. VSM possesses characteristics of rubbing grinding and strong shear force, and has been used for foam scrubbing in cleaning process of molybdenum flotation. Conseguently excess mineral oil medicine coated on minerals can be peeled, scrubbed and washed down, and the bubble agglomeration can be disrupted and dispersed, molybdenum can be effectively beneficiated from the gangues, therewith the grade and recovery of molybdenum concentrate can be increased. This practice verified that it is technically feasible and effective to use VSM for foam scrubbing of molybdenum concentrate.
